Miles Davis

Micki met Miles Davis in the fall or 1969 outside his small shop in “The Village,” downtown New York City. Miles had been scouting out some of the leather goods he had seen in the display window of the shop, as well as Micki's own attire, in which he had seen him around town. This would be the beginning of a long, creative relationship between the two. Miles served as a muse for Micki, and he served as the image innovator of Miles’ new persona.
